The work is concerned with the shift of population, the breaking of roots and the displacement this involves:

   
"with the passing of many families, they take with them the knowledge, understanding and identity of that area - the sense and meaning of place and its oral history handed on for generations relevant to that area and intrinsically tied to its geographical situation".
